Recruitment Process: Wipro conducts approx 4 rounds to select freshers for the post of software engineer/project engineer in their organization. The following rounds are conducted:

• Online MCQ based on Aptitude
• Online Coding Round
• Technical Round

Online MCQ Aptitude Round: This round is hosted on AMCAT platform and the format is same as other AMCAT exams, i.e., 20 questions on Quantitative Apti, 20 on Verbal reasoning and 20 on Logical Reasoning. The total time is around 60 mins. Sincere practice of aptitude mock tests is sufficient to make a candidate pass through this round. The main trick is to solve as many questions as one can quickly and accurately. Additionally, it can also consist of MCQ based on output finding on c/c++ and conceptual questions on Java.

Online Coding Round: This round consists of around 2-3 coding questions, all are of easy levels. Generally asked questions are : pattern printing based, mathematical like GCD finding and other basic operations. If one has done good practice of easy level questions, they can clear this round.

Technical Round: Generally there is only one technical round. Questions based on DS Algo are not generally asked. The questions frequently asked are: Basics of Operating Systems (like deadlocks, semaphores etc), DBMS (what are joins etc), common SQL Queries, conceptual questions based on OOPs.

This round also consists of questions based on projects and languages that one has mentioned in their resume. In depth understanding of projects is required, and one should know all the things mentioned in resume very well.

HR Round: You can expect HR questions like : 1. Introduction about you, your family etc 2. Why choose Wipro? 3. What are your strengths and weaknesses ? 4. What is your aim in life?

Wipro Eligibility Cirtieria

There are many criteria’s on which the candidate has to eligible to take part in Wipro exams. We will discuss all of Wipro eligibility Criteria in this blog section. An overview of all the eligibility criteria’s is given below:

Academic Criteria

There are a few points for academic criteria one just has to be eligible for all the points given below.

• Non-engineering branches are not allowed.
• The candidate must score at least sixty (60) percent in class Xth, XIIth, and graduation.
• The candidate must have a graduation degree and candidates with post-graduation degrees can also apply.
• All the Engineering branches are allowed.

Backlog Criteria

A backlog is one of the reasons for the rejection or disqualification of the candidates.

• The student can have a backlog while pursuing the degree but he cannot have any active backlog while sitting or applying for the interview.

Education and Gap Criteria

We have already discussed the academic criteria above and now we will discuss the education and gap criteria to apply in Wipro.

• The student can have a maximum gap of three years and that too is only between Xth and graduation after that no gap year is allowed.
• The candidate must have done a full degree course that is recognized by any center or state government of India.

Some Other Important Criteria

These are some additional Crietria’s that one needs to keep in mind:

• The candidate must not have appeared or participated in any Wipro interviews in the last 6 months, if he/she has participated then he will be disqualified.
• The students of India are allowed to take part in Wipro Interviews but if the student is outside India then he/she should carry either his PIO or OCI card or the passport of his country of residence.
• The candidate must have completed a full degree in a course that is recognized by either state or central government.
• If the candidate is from Nepal or Bhutan then the citizen certificate is required.

Age and Service Bond

Sometimes there are service bonds.

• The maximum age of the candidate for freshers allowed is 25 years.
• Sometimes the Service bond is of 15 months.

Frequently Asked Questions Related to Wipro Eligibility Criteria

1. If a candidate is pursuing BBA is he allowed to take part in Wipro tests? No he is not allowed to participate in Wipro tests.

2. With one active backlog am I allowed to give Wipro interviews? No, there should not be any active backlog.

3. I have a gap of 2 years after graduation will it affect my qualification? Yes as there is no gap allowed after graduation.

4. Are all the candidates eligible in India for the Wipro test? Yes, all the candidates across India are allowed and the candidates from Bhutan and Nepal are also allowed.

Severe storms hit southeastern Texas on Thursday, killing four people, downing trees and knocking out power to hundreds of thousands of homes in the Houston area and surrounding areas.

Houston woke up to scenes of destruction on after severe storms with winds of up to 100 mph spewed debris across roads, and littered the ground downtown with broken glass. Officials confirmed that four people died in the storm.

"We're in recovery mode," Houston Mayor John Whitmire said.

In a news conference on Thursday evening, Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said two of the deaths were caused by falling trees, while a third person died in a crane accident.

At the news conference, Whitmire urged residents to continue to stay home amid the dangerous road conditions. Widespread power outages had also knocked out traffic lights across the city, posing traffic control hazards for morning commuters. Whitmire said officials were also "concerned" about the dangers of broken glass on roadways.

"Downtown is a mess. It's dangerous due to the glass and the lack of traffic lights," he said. "So stay at home. I can't emphasize that, repeat that enough."

"Please do not drive in Downtown Houston tonight, or for that matter, anywhere else in the region that sustained storm damage," the National Weather Service office that serves Houston and Galveston said on social media Thursday night . "Widespread debris, glass and electrical lines are in the streets. Follow local news media and emergency management officials recommendations."

Flights were grounded at Houston's two major airports because of the weather. Sustained winds topping 60 mph were recorded at Bush Intercontinental Airport, the Associated Press reports. The Houston Independent School District also canceled classes Friday at all of its schools.

There were over 772,000 power outages reported across the state as of 6 a.m. CT Friday morning, according to a USA TODAY power outage tracker .

There were over 414,000 outages reported in Harris County, by far the highest total in the state. Fort Bend County had over 29,000 reported outages while Chambers County had over 24,000 reported outages.

Texas severe weather watches and warnings

Friday's forecast sees a potential for more rain in the Houston and Galveston area, although the NWS says it is not expecting "anything near as robust as Thursday's line of storms."

Most of the rain is expected to fall along and south of the I-10 corridor, with an additional half inch to inch forecast south of I-10. Rain chances are expected to taper off going into the late afternoon and early evening hours, according to the NWS.

• Max 3 years of GAP in education allowed (between 10th to commencement of graduation).
• No Gaps are allowed in Graduation. Graduation should be completed within 3 years from the start of graduation.
• Should be an Indian Citizen or should hold a PIO or OCI card, in the event of holding a passport of any other country.
• Bhutan and Nepal Nationals need to submit their citizenship certificate.
• Candidates will be invited for the test process, who have completed 3 months cool-off period.

Eligibility Criteria

Year of passing, qualification, other criteria, joining details, stipend details.

Period: (INR Per Month) 1st Year: You will receive a stipend of INR 15,000 + 488 (ESI) + Joining Bonus of Rs.75,000 along with the 1st month Stipend. 2nd Year: You will receive a stipend of INR 17,000 + 533 (ESI). 3rd Year: You will receive a stipend of INR 19,000 + 618 (ESI). 4th Year: You will receive a stipend of INR 23,000 One time Joining Bonus - 75000 INR Merge Bonuses for the 1st 3 years post completion of the M.Tech degree. Post the completion of the program, designation will be Senior Project Engineer and compensation will range from INR 6,00,000 p.a onwards depending on performance. Other Benefits: • M.Tech degree fully sponsored by Wipro. • Group Life Insurance of INR 14 Lakhs p.a • Group Personal Accident Cover of INR 12 lakhs p.a Performance Bonus is applicable only to full time employees recruited after successful completion of WILP program. Bonus details are mentioned below: End of 1st year: 1,00,000 to 1,50,000 End of 2nd year: 1,00,000 to 1,50,000 End of 3rd year: 1,00,000 to 1,50,000

Training Agreement

You will be required to sign a training agreement for 60 months upon joining. Please Note: You will be liable to pay a sum of INR 75,000 on pro rata basis if you leave the organisation before 5 years of the training agreement are up.
