Morality Assignments

This page of IGN's Mass Effect wiki guide is all about the Morality Assignment Side-Quests. These are a pair of Assignments that only unlock once Shepard has filled up a certain amount of either the Paragon or Renegade Morality bars. Read below for all the details!

Morality Assignments Explained

Morality Assignments are unique among Mass Effect's Assignments in that they do not unlock until you've filled 80% of a Morality Bar. If you want to unlock both, then whichever Morality Assignment you hadn't unlocked yet will not do so until you reach 90% on its required Morality Bar.

Once you've met one of their requirements, then you'll receive the associated Assignment from Admiral Hackett once you travel to a new system. If you only intend to explore the respective world, then that will unlock when the associated bar is filled to 75%.

Unlocking both Morality Assignments on a standard playthrough is, quite frankly, extremely difficult, and will almost certainly result in having to make undesired choices that will affect things in Mass Effect 2 and / or 3. Most players will instead use one of two glitches to artificially fill one of the Morality Bars and unlock both Assignments:

• Eletania Max Paragon Exploit - Available as soon as you finish Expose Saren , this exploit is available during the UNC: Lost Module Assignment, and will only affect the Paragon Morality Bar.
• Noveria Max Paragon and Renegade Exploit - Available on Noveria during the Lorik Qui'in Mission, this exploit will affect both the Paragon and Renegade Morality Bars.

• Prerequisite : 80% Paragon Bar filled (90% if Renegade Bar was filled to 80% first)

Clayton Kershaw's First Start Date Set as Return to Dodgers Inches Closer

Clayton Kershaw is expected to begin his minor league rehab stint for Class-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times confirmed with a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.

That will be his first of many rehab appearances as he builds himself up to return to the Dodgers. He has thrown a few simulated innings at Dodger Stadium and in Rancho Cucamonga but he has yet to appear in a game. Kershaw underwent surgery this offseason to repair the glenohumeral ligaments and capsule in his left shoulder.

It was the first surgery of his professional career and despite not knowing what to expect with the recovery process, he seems to be ahead of schedule. Back in February, Kershaw thought he would return in July or August. With his rehab assignment beginning in June, he is on track to return to the Dodgers in July.

“He’s much further along than we expected,” manager Dave Roberts said before Thursday night’s series finale against the Texas Rangers. “He’s unique in his body and mentality and mindset, the work ethic and all that. And obviously, Dr. [Neal] ElAttrache did a great job. He’s well beyond where I personally expected him to be.”

The Dodgers are cautiously optimistic about Kershaw's return and will handle him with extreme care. There is no need to rush him back until he is truly 100 percent healthy. His recovery is a process and the Dodgers will have a good gauge of where he is at after his first rehab appearance.

Warning: contains spoilers for Sons of Star Trek #3! Nog was a hero of Star Trek ’s Dominion War, and now his fate after that conflict has been revealed. Nog’s character arc throughout Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is a high mark of the franchise. In seven seasons, Nog went from petty criminal to war hero, and he once again takes center stage in IDW’s Sons of Star Trek , and issue three confirms his post-Dominion War assignment.

Sons of Star Trek #3 is written by Morgan Hampton and drawn by Angel Hernandez. Q Jr, attempting to teach Jake Sisko a lesson, catapults Jake, Nog and Alexander, son of Worf, to an alternate dimension. As Nog helps Jake find a way back to their home universe, he reflects on his first assignment after the Dominion War , aboard the USS Alemany.

Thanks to Nog’s experiences in the War, Starfleet put him on a ship that helps war-ravaged planets get back on their feet.

Nog Is a Trail Blazer in the Star Trek Universe

Nog's character arc is one of star trek's best.

Nog, played by the late Aron Eisenberg, was the son of Rom and the nephew of Quark, the Ferengi bartender aboard Deep Space Nine . When fans first met Nog, Odo was hauling him into prison for larceny. Nog would become fast friends with Jake Sisko, whose dad, Benjamin, commanded the station. Thanks to these influences, Nog was set on a better path, one leading him to Starfleet Academy. The first Ferengi at that institution, Nog, blazed a trail. Later, he found glory as a hero during the Dominion War, but it came at a cost, as Nog developed PTSD.

Many humans, including Captain Sisko, doubted Nog’s abilities, as well as his sincerity in wanting to attend Starfleet Academy. As is the case for barrier-breakers like Nog, it was an uphill battle, as he pushed back against prejudice from humans and opposition from his family. Nog’s service record during the Dominion War put him on a pedestal, one he felt he would never transcend. He has yet to resolve these issues in Sons of Star Trek.

Will Nog Ever Find His Place in the Star Trek Universe?

Nog is much more than a war hero.

And Nog’s post-Dominion War assignment aboard the Alemany did nothing to settle this internal struggle. The posting itself made good use of Nog’s skills as both an engineer and an expert on the Dominion. However, Nog once again ran up against his status as a war hero and the expectations it foisted on him. His crewmates aboard the Alemany were more enthralled by the ideal of Nog than the real Nog. Any closure Nog was seeking after Star Trek's Dominion War was denied him, thus ensuring that any more progress would be more difficult.
