Change of IGNOU Study Center

Students are allowed to change the IGNOU Study Centre within his/her Regional centre. Student need  to write an application to the Regional Centre by hardcopy or using their registered email ID.

New requested Study center will be allocated only if your Programme is available at that Study center.

The provision of Change of IGNOU Regional Center or Study Center online was introduced from 2020 onwards. Student need to login in the student portal and apply online for the same. Once learner apply successfully for change of RC or SC it may take a couple of week to update on the website. Click here to visit the website for change of IGNOU Study Centre.

Due to mobility of the learners, they are required to get their address for correspondence and LSC changed during their course of study. The change of IGNOU Study Centre (LSC)  may be within the region and across the region also. In earlier days in cases of inter-regional changes of LSCs, the application shall be sent to the other Regional Director along with all records of the student maintained at the RC, under intimation to the Coordinator of the original LSC. Requests for inter –regional transfers in Computer Education Programmes (CIC.BCA, MCA), BSc, B.Sc Nursing, and PGDMCH and other practical oriented programmes generally not considered. However, learners of these academic programmes are required to obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Regional Director where the learners intend to get transferred. Records of these learners are transferred only after receipt of NOC from the RC concerned.

What is NOC in IGNOU? NOC stands for No Objection certificate. As you know IGNOU has several regional centre and several study centre across the country. All the programme is not activated or not on offer at all the study centres. So suppose if you want to change your IGNOU study centre to new study centre in that case before approval RC will check if your programme is available at that new centre, if yes then RC will issue NOC stating that RC doesn’t have any difficulty in admitting you at new study centre  This NOC is required mainly while changing your Regional Centre.

IGNOU Regional Centre & Study Centre Change – The student has to select the nearest Regional Centre and Study Centre at the time of taking admission to IGNOU. Candidates have their own choice to choose regional centre as well as study centre which convenient for them but it is noted that both must be offered your interested course.

How to Change Study Centre in IGNOU?

After taking admission to IGNOU , The printed performa with the programme guide is sent to students at their addresses. Candidates have to use that performa, fill it and send it to the Regional Director at your Regional Centre. Candidates have to note that counselling facilities are not available at every study centre for all courses so before making any changes, students are advised to make sure that counselling facilities are available for their course at the new study centre.

Allocation of students is depending on the availability of seats for the programme at the new study centre. Candidates cannot change their study centre before confirmation of admission from IGNOU . Change of IGNOU Study Centre is not permissible in those courses where practical components are involved.

How to Change Regional Centre in IGNOU?

If a student is transferring from the current region to another region then he/she can apply for a change of the Regional Centre. The request must be addressed to the current regional centre from where he/she wants to transfer to the new regional centre. A student has to obtain a certificate from their current study centre from where he/she is seeking transfer regarding the number of submitted assignments. The current IGNOU Regional Centre will transfer student’s data to the new regional centre which includes payment of fees.

If the candidate has practical subjects in their programme then he/she must obtain a “No Objection Certificate” from the concerned regional centre as well as a study centre where a student wants to transfer.

A student who wants to transfer from Air Force/Navy/Army Regional Centre to another regional centre then he/she have to pay fee-share money to the Regional Centre. If a student transfers its regional centre at the beginning of the programme session then he/she has to pay the required programme fee for the session at the regional centre. The student can transfer to an overseas study centre only after six months of registration or after the submission of assignments of first-year or semester for the course of one-year duration or longer.

The Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania announces a new postdoctoral fellowship that will combine teaching, public scholarship, and research in the field of contemporary antisemitism studies. 

The appointment, renewable for up to three years, combines teaching students, helping to develop learning opportunities and other resources for the broader public, and serving as a source of expertise within and beyond the university. The person in the role will also serve as an adviser to the Katz Center as it seeks to develop a concurrent multiyear initiative to support new research in the study of antisemitism.  

The ideal candidate for the position will be a scholar/educator with strong research and teaching, and an ability to make connections to the broader scholarly treatment of racism, prejudice, and hatred, as well as the study of how to address and overcome them.

The search will continue until a suitable candidate is found, with a start date either in the spring semester of 2025 or the fall of 2025. Applications received by September 27  will be assured of consideration.  As a way of enriching the experience, the person selected for the role will be invited to join the cohort of the Center’s fellowship year in 2025–26 focused on contemporary Jewish life .

The fellowship is available to holders of a doctorate from any discipline. Those who have not defended their thesis at the time of application should supply a statement attesting to their expected graduation date by a departmental graduate chair or supervisor.
