Note :- The e-visa type of Turkey tourist visa for Indian citizens will not be valid if your UK, US, Ireland permit is also an e-visa.

The application for the Turkey tourist visa from India can be done in multiple ways.. However, before starting your application, you must check that you are eligible to apply for the touristic permit. You may then proceed as follows - 

• Visit the website of the Turkish diplomatic mission in India as per the jurisdiction.
• Start out by filling the online visa application form ( pre-application) available on the website. 
• If you are eligible for the e visa, you will be redirected to the relevant portal. Else, you can proceed with the application form.
• Note the reference number you receive on your email. 
• Proceed to book an appointment at the diplomatic mission as per the jurisdiction. 
• Download the offline application form and fill it manually. You must mention the purpose of your visit as ‘tourism’.
• Attend the appointment with the duly signed application form, documents, and the fees.
• Submit the application and pay the fees at the mission.

At Visa Application Centres (VAC)

• Visit the website of the embassy outsourced VAC as per the jurisdiction. 
• Fill out the application form manually with a blue or black ink pen, and in capital letters. Mention the purpose of the visit as ‘tourism’.
• Contact the call centre of the VAC and proceed to book an appointment for the application submission. 
• Along with the application form, documents, and the fees, attend the appointment slot.
• Submit the application and pay the fees at the VAC. 

E visa 

• If you are eligible, visit the e-visa portal of the Turkish ministry. 
• Fill in the Turkey visa form with all the required details. 
• Pay the fees and submit the application.  

Note: - Ensure that you provide true information and genuine documents. Providing fake documents or false information is grounds for visa rejection.

In order to be able to apply for the Turkish permit from India, you must meet the following eligibility conditions - 

• You must be living in India while lodging the application. If you are living on a residence permit in another nation, you will have to apply to the respective authority there.
• You must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of your entry in the country. 
• Your sole purpose of the visit must be to take part in tourism alone. 
• You must possess sufficient funds to support your stay. (50$ per day for e-visa)
• If applying for e-visa - you must possess a valid entry permit or resident permit for Schengen countries, UK, US, or Ireland.

As per the Turkey tourist visa requirements from India, the following are the list of documents you must possess for the tourist visa application. However, note that the documentation requirements may slightly vary based on the mission you are applying to.

• Fully filled and signed application form.
• 2 photos as per the specifications. 
• Travel insurance. 
• Proof of funds such as bank statements. 
• Proof of employment/studies such as employment letter, retirement letter, etc. 
• Round trip flight tickets. 
• Proof of accommodation such as hotel bookings, invitation letter, etc. 
• Proof of ‘intent to return’ such as house agreements, property agreements, etc 
• Covering letter from the applicant.

For E visa - Valid Schengen/UK/US/Ireland visa or residence permit.

As per the Turkey tourist visa photo requirements , the photos to be submitted must meet the following conditions - 

• 35mm X 45mm
• Colour: Coloured
• Head must occupy the central position
• Must be captured within the last 3 months
• Background: Solid, plain white or grey
• 80% face coverage
• Neutral expression
• Glasses: Thin framed and prescription glasses only
• Headgears - only for religious reasons
• Facial hair - permitted

The time taken to process the Turkey sticker tourist visa is normally around 12 working days. However, this can vary significantly based on multiple factors. It can depend on the volume of applications at the embassy/consulate, the number of entries, your previous travel history, and so on. As a result, you are advised to apply well in advance in order to avoid any complications.

Time taken for the processing of the e-visa is usually within just 48 hours. However, to account for any possible delays, the ministry asks that you must apply at least 2 days in advance.

The fees for the tourist permit is dependant on the number of entries and the foreign exchange rates. The fees for the e visa must be paid in USD. As a result, while making the payment, the amount deducted from your account will vary according to the exchange rates at the moment. For the sticker visa, you may also have to pay additional service charges and delivery charges (if applicable). As a result, ensure that you check the exact amount before starting the application.

Once you have made the application, it will be processed accordingly. Even if you have applied at the VAC, the application is forwarded to the embassy/consulate for the processing. The VAC has no influence regarding the processing. Once approved, you can collect the passport directly from the mission/VAC or you can have the VAC deliver it to you for an additional charge. The jurisdiction of the Turkish missions in India are as follows - 

• Turkish Embassy in New Delhi - If your state of residence* is Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal.
• Turkish Consulate in Mumbai - If your state of residence is Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar, Lakshadweep Islands
• Turkish Consulate in Hyderabad - If your state of residence is Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Orissa and Chhattisgarh.

*   - State of residence refers to the state where you have been residing for the past 6 months. 

If you have applied for the e visa, you will receive a link via your email, on approval. You may then download the permit through the link.

There are multiple ways in which you can check the status of your application depending upon your mode of application.

Before you travel - 

• Note the validity and number of entries mentioned on your visa. You must not stay in the country beyond this period. You must also follow the entry type given.

• For the Turkey e visa, carry the downloaded e visa as a softcopy or hardcopy.

At the border

• You must show your passport with the visa to the immigration officer. Your entry stamp will be stamped on the passport.

TURKEY TOURIST VISA APPLICATION PROCESS STEP BY STEP, ALONG WITH TIPS FROM MY FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE

In a simpler and easier world, everybody would probably have the privilege to just catch a flight to Turkey without ever worrying about getting a visa. Or maybe just get a Turkey electronic visa with the click of a few buttons from the comfort of your home.

But that is not the case, right? So some of us need a Turkey tourist visa to visit this beautiful nation.

In this article, I would outline the Turkey visit visa application process. I myself applied for the Turkey tourist visa from India with a single entry and got it in 4 days.

So while it might be very relevant if you are looking for info on Turkey visa for Indians, you could follow the same process if you are applying for a Turkey visa from Dubai or Pakistan or any other place in the world.

But before jumping to the application process, let’s see why you should visit Turkey in the first place.

What to See in Turkey?

Turkey is that sweet spot of intersection where everything from the east and the west amalgamate, starting from food, flavours, cultures, religions to history and people.

It is an insanely beautiful country with its baazars, quaint fishing villages, pristine coastline, Ottoman palaces, fairy-tale Cappadocia and a lot more.

There are so many thngs to do in Turkey that it would be a never-ending list.

Do You Need a Tourist Visa for Turkey? Or an eVisa?

It is important to know that if you qualify for a Turkey electronic visa for tourism, you can go and apply for it. It is faster and cheaper.

However, citizens of some countries can get the eVisa for Turkey only for 30 days or only if they have a valid Schengen/UK/US/Ireland visa or residence.

Turkey Visa Application Process & Requirements in a Glance

Here is the procedure to apply for Turkey tourist visa, and the requirements and everything else that you need to know about.

Step 1: Find out where to Apply Turkey Visa?

Depending on where you are, and your citizenship, you can apply for the Turkey visit visa through a Turkish embassy or through an approved agency that would process your application and send the documents to the embassy.

Turkey Visit Visa Application through Embassy

In some countries like the United States, the UK, Sri Lanka etc. , you can get an appointment in the Turkish embassy directly by providing the details of your travel, and upload the documents directly.

If you apply through the embassy, you would need to fill it in through the Pre-Application System of Turkish Sticker Visa on consular website of Turkey .

After that, you would need to upload the documents and submit the application.

Following this, the applicants should apply to the Turkish Missions to complete the procedures including submission of their visa application forms duly signed and their passports as well as original copies of the application documents that have been already uploaded on the system.

Turkey Visa Application Process through Agency

In some countries like India, UAE etc., you would need to apply through an approved agency. Turkey Visit Visa from Pakistan can also only be applied through an official agency.

In my case, since I was applying from India, I had to apply through an agency called Gateway Global (which is nothing but VFS Global).

In India, for example, Turkey has 3 consulates. You would need to choose the one that serves the jurisdiction where you live and your passport must be registered in that jurisdiction.

If your passport wasn’t not issued in the jurisdiction areas of the Consulate General where you are applying, local address proof must be submitted. (Only registered leave and license agreement copy or registered agreement copy).

Step 2: Find the Turkey Tourist Visa Requirements

In order to apply for a Turkey visit visa, you need to submit the following  mandatory documents .

This is the same no matter which country you choose for the visa. And then depending on your situation, you might need to submit extra documents as well.

Insurance for Turkey Tourist Visa

All applicants are required to have medical insurance that will be valid during their stay in Turkey.

• It should fulfill requirements.(Medical Evacuation and repatriation expenses/Personal accidental death/Personal liability/Daily allowance in hospitalization cases)
• This insurance should cover the insured for a minimum of Euro 30000

I got the Saftey Wing travel insurance and I would definitely recommend it. It also covers passport loss , flight interruptions, and many other things.

Biometric Photo for Turkey Visa

You would need to provide 2 Biometric Photos with a white background that was taken within the last 6 months, depicting the full face including ears and all hair, clearly and completely visible without shadow.

It should be of 2.5inch x 2.5inch size in India, but the size varies in other countries.

Proof of Income

As proof of income, you need to submit the bank statements for the last 3 months.

In the case of a Turkey tourist visa from India, you would need to submit the bank statements that should have the bank seal and signatures.

I provided the bank statements from HDFC bank for the last 3 months, after getting them sealed and signed at the bank.

Flight Reservation

For applying Turkey tourist visa, you don’t have to book flight tickets. You can simply do a reservation and provide it. Here is how to get flight itinerary for visa .

I made a reservation through Orbitz and canceled it later.

However, when I actually went to the agency, they simply asked me to sign an undertaking that I would be making flight reservations and booking hotel. In any case, I still recommend providing it.

Hotel Booking or Invitation

You would need to provide the hotel booking for your visit to Turkey.

I made the refundable reservations through booking.com and provided them.

Turkey Visa Cover Letter

I wrote a cover letter for Turkey tourist visa explaining the reason I wanted to travel to Turkey, the places I wanted to visit, the date of arrival and the date I planned to leave. I also mentioned that I was traveling with my wife.

Original Leave Letter

You need to submit a leave letter

• from your employer if you are employed. This should have the company seal and signature. They are very strict about this.
• on a personal business letter head if you are self-employed woth the company seal and signature.

In my case, I provided them with a leave letter from my employer for the duration of my visit.

Salary Slips

I submitted the payslips for the last 3 months as the employment proof.

If you are a freelancer, you can provide contract documents & leave/cover letter as applicable.

If you are retired, you need to provide the retirement documents & income proof (original or copies attested).

Income Tax Return

I was also asked to provide the ITR (Income Tax Return) for the last two years.

Step 3: Get an Appointment & Submit Documents

In my case since I was applying through VFS Global, the only approved Turkey visa agency in India, I needed to get an appointment in the VFS Global office.

I lived in Bangalore and applied through the Gateway Globe/VFS Global Bangalore. In order to get an appointment, you can email them with your passport number and name.

When I applied, the Gateway Turkey Visa center in Bangalore functioned only 3 days a week, while the one in Mumbai was open everyday. So depending on where you apply, you would need to get an appointment.

Step 4 : Submit Documents at Gateway Turkey Visa Center

On the day of my appointment, I showed up on time with all my documents. If you have been to VFS centers in the past to apply any visas, know that they are pretty strict about the timing, entry and documents etc.

When you arrive at the Turkey Visa Application Center, you can get a token and wait for your turn. Your token number is called to submit your visa application at the submission counter. 

While for me, everything was in order, the leave letter from my employer didn’t have the seal and signature since I had simply taken an e-letter and printed it out. They told me that they couldn’t submit my application with the one I provided.

So I had to leave and get another appointment for the next week.

The next time, I had the leave letter with the company seal and authorized signature, but somehow, I forgot to mention to address the cover letter to the consulate of Mumbai.

So, I had to rewrite the letter in an internet cafe in front of the VFS Global Bangalore, print it out and sign it.

You also have to provide the biometrics for Turkey visa in the center.

How Much is Turkey Visa?

The Single Entry Turkey Tourist visa costs close to 60 USD, while the Turkey visit visa with multiple entries would cost you the equivalent of 190 USD.

Here is what Turkey visas cost in India as of now.

However, when you apply through an agnecy, i.e., Gateway Globe Turkey visa center, you also would need to pay the service fees for the ganecy which varies depending on where you are applying.

VFS Global Premium Lounge

Gateway Globe( VFS Global) had a preium lounge service that promised the sun and the moon and more. However, the reality was very different at their office.

Here is a screenshot to show you what all they promise.

Since, my plan was to travel after 3 weeks and I had already applied for the leaves. Since I almost lost a week to get the company seal for the leave letter and then get another appointment, I decided to take the premium service.

The only thing I got out of this was the expedited application processing and courier service. No snacks. Couldn’t even print out any documents there.

If you take premium services in some other country, your experience might be a ittle different. This was my experince.

Payment for Turkey Visa

I paid the fees for Turkey visit visa in the VFS Global counter through cash. In most of the Turkey visa agencies, they accept payment through cash.

However, in case you apply the visa through Turkey embassy, you might be able to pay through a credit card or debit card or other forms of payment, depending on the country you are applying from.

After paying the fees, I left my original passport with them.

Turkey Tourist Visa Interview

If you apply Turkey visit visa from India, like me, there is no need to appear in any interviews. If your documents are in order, everything will be fine.

In case a document is missing or they need any extra documents, you will be contacted to email the same.

Turkey Tourist Visa Processing Time

If you are thinking about how long does Turkey visa takes, then note that it can take anywhere between 5-10 business days depending on where you are applying from.

In India, it can take a week or a little more.

In my case, I got it in 4 business days through the courier service. The passport came with the visa stamped in it. You can also go and collect the passport at the VFS center.

Turkey Tourist Visa from India

The good news is that getting a Turkey visa for Indians is definitely not as hard as getting a Schengen Visa from India or a US B1B2 visit visa for that matter.

As an Indian, if you hold a valid visa or residence permit from one of the Schengen Countries, USA, UK, or Ireland, you can simply apply for the Turkey Electronic Visa. It is much faster and cheaper.

Turkey Visa Requirements in India

As I have mentioned earlier, if you are applying for Turkey tourist visa from India, you would need to provide the following documents:

• Travel insurance
• Self-attested Turkey visa application form
• 2 photos- 2.5X2.5 inches
• Hotel & Flight reservation
• Cover letter
• Salary slips, leave letter( with seal and signature)
• Bank statements for the last 3 months showing a balance of at least 1 lakh( with seal and signature)

Turkey Visa Application Tracking India

Since the Turkey visa processing time is somewhat close to a week, you don’t really need to track the application or anything. Although the website of Gateway Globe mentions application tracking, there is no real way to do it.

You could email them asking the application status if it takes too long and then they will check with teh mabssy and email you back.

How to Apply Turkey Visa from Dubai?

In order to get the Turkey visa from Dubai or UAE, you need to apply through the Gateway Management Logistics VFS Global.

Requirements for Turkey Tourist Visa from Dubai

You would need to provide the following documents for Turkey visa in Dubai:

• 2 biometric photographs of 5X6CM, with white background, shot in the last 6 months without hat, cap, headgear.
• Hotel & Flight reservation( no need to confirm)

Valid Residence Permit

To apply for Turkey visa from Dubai, you need to provide a valid resident permit for at least 6 months. You need to provide a photocopy of your residence permit, visa, and Emirates ID Copy.

Employment Documents

If employed, you need to provide

• original guarantee letter from the company that has the start date of employment, vacation days, salary details etc.
• documentation with original-wet dignature and official stamp that proves that you will return to UAE

Bank Statements

You have to provide a personal bank account summary for the last 3 months, with the original signature and stamp. The last date of transaction must be 10 days old at the latest.

Turkey Visa Cost from Dubai

The Turkey tourist visa with single entry costs 225AED in UAE. And the Turkey visa fee from Dubai for the double-entry visa costs 450 AED, while the one with multiple entries costs 700 AED.

Turkey Visit Visa from Pakistan

If you apply for a Tourist visa for Turkey from Pakistan, you would need to go through an officially approved agency.

There is only one agency in Pakistan that can process your visa application for Turkey. It is called Anatolia Travel Services Pvt Ltd.

Requirements for Turkey Tourist Visa from Pakistan

You would need to provide the following documents:

• 2 biometric photographs of 5X5CM, with white background, shot in the last 6 months without hat, cap, headgear(80% face – 20% body)
• Financial documents that show sufficient funds available for the planned trip (Bank statements of last 3 months and not older than 10 days from the date of submission, and dully signed and stamped from the bank) , savings etc.
• Family registration certificate or marriage registration certificate (if newly married) from NADRA office
• Undertaking

Documents related to employment

• If applicant is a freelancer, recent contracts signed by company and himself/herself.
• In case applicant is an employee, a statement undersigned by employer (with name/surname and contact number) mentioning title, salary, duration of the employment on a company letterhead, paper along with last 3 months’ salary slips and type of payments (cash, bank deposits etc.).
• If the applicant is a student, bonafide letter confirming the enrollment by educational instutuion is required.
• If the applicant is a business owner, supporting documents proving ownership, as well as official documents showing the company’s financial standing.

During submission of visa application, Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan resident applicants will be given an interview form to be filled manually (only applicable for )

Payment of Turkey Visa Fees in Pakistan

Here are the Turkey Tourist Visa costs in Pakistan.

Single Entry

Multiple Entry

You can pay the visa fee in cash in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).

Apart from this, you also need to pay the service fees for Anatolia Travel Services LTD, which come up to 8000 PKR for normal service and 15000 PKR for VIP application.

Turkey Visa Processing Time in Pakistan

Turkey Embassy / Consulates normally takes 2-3 weeks for the visa application process from the date of submission of application at Anatolia Visa Application Centers in Pakistan.

However, in peak seasons, it can take 4-6 weeks.

You should apply for the visa at least 4 weeks before your travel date.

Passport Collection with Turkey Visa in Pakistan

An applicant or the applicant’s blood relation can collect the passport with a Turkey visa, by providing the original payment receipt, a copy of the applicant’s CNIC, and other documents as required.

what is the local address proof? is aadhar/driving license accepted? Because i stay in my own home and cannot get a rental agreement.

Required documents for a Turkish visa application

When applying for a Turkish visa, you will need to collect several documents and submit them at the Turkish embassy/consulate. These documents prove your intention and eligibility for traveling to Turkey.

The required documents for a Turkish visa may differ depending on the visa type you are applying for. Your nationality may also have an impact in this regard, as the nationals of some countries need to submit additional or fewer documents.

Sticker Visa Requirements for Turkey

You can start collecting the required documents for a Turkish visa as soon as you complete the form at the Pre-Application System. The sooner you start gathering them, the better for you. Make sure they all meet the criteria and specifications set by the Turkish authorities.

The main documents you need to collect for a Turkey visa application are as follows:

Turkey Visa Application Form

The application form for a visa is the same for every Turkish visa type. The form contains questions on the following:

• Name and surname.
• Date and place of birth.
• Citizenship and country of residence.
• Parents’ name.
• Type of passport.
• The type of visa you are applying for.
• The requested duration of stay.
• Info on previous visa applications for Turkey.
• Info on previous trips to Turkey.
• Info on your spouse and children, if applicable.

Complete it manually, and sign it at the end.

Turkey Visa Photo Requirements

You should submit two identical photos, as a part of your Turkey visa application. The Turkey Visa photo size should be 5cm x 6cm and taken within the last six months.

Following, find a list of the Turkey visa photo requirements:

• Be of high quality, in sharp focus and clean.
• No ink marks and creases.
• Have the appropriate brightness and contrast.
• Not have any staple marks.
• You must be looking directly at the camera.

Passport or Other Travel Document

You must submit a passport or another travel document that is valid for at least another six months on the date you reach Turkey. Make sure it has at least one blank page in order for the embassy/consulate to be able to affix the sticker visa on it. The passport will remain at the Turkish embassy during the time that is application is being processed.

Alongside with the passport, you should also submit copies of entry and exit seal/stamps of previously obtained visas, if any.

Proof of Accommodation

No matter how long you are planning to remain in Turkey, you must show where you will stay. Even for only a night! You can present any of the following as proof of accommodation in Turkey:

• Hotel Booking in Turkey . If you will be staying at a hotel, you should submit a booking letter that includes the entry and exit dates, your name, and surname, as well as the address and contact details of the hotel.
• Invitation letter by a host in Turkey . If a Turkish resident has invited you to stay over at their place while you are in Turkey, then you need to submit a letter of invitation written by the host. It should include the details of the host, their contact, and the address of the place. Also, your name and surname, and your relationship with the host.

Means of Support

The Turkish authorities want you to show you have enough money to support yourself during your trip to Turkey. You should have about €50 for every day you plan to spend for Turkey. You can prove that you have the needed money through:

• Bank Statements for the last three months.
• Proof of other income as salary slips, from renting, proof of your spouse’s income, etc.
• Letter of support, from another person, who guarantees to cover your expenses. Proof that this person has the means to do so, is also required, i.e. their bank statements.

Note that if a host covers your accommodation in Turkey, you will be eligible to apply with less than €50 per day. If the food is also covered, an even smaller amount of money will be required. Proof of covered accommodation and meals is mandatory in this case.

Travel Itinerary / Flight Booking

You will need to show proof of how you plan to reach Turkey and what you are planning to do while there. The following are included.

• Proof of Flight Booking . If you are planning to travel to Turkey by plane, you will need to book a roundtrip flight and present this document to the embassy or consulate on the day of your appointment.

Other documents are accepted as well, depending on the means of transport you are planning to use to reach Turkey, i.e. bus ticket, driver’s license and authorization to enter Turkey by car, etc.

Submit other documents as well, depending on what you are planning to do in Turkey, i.e. invitations to attend events, booked tours, museum tickets, etc.

Travel Medical Insurance

It is compulsory to have Travel Medical Insurance in order to be able to travel to Turkey . The insurance must cover the whole territory of Turkey with minimal coverage of €30,000.

Police Clearance Certificate

Submit a Police clearance certificate or another equivalent document obtained by the relevant authorities in your country of residence. This document should show that you have not been involved in any criminal activities in recent years.

Visa requirements for Turkey according to your employment status

• If you are employed you need to submit a guarantee letter from your employer, which states that you will return to your country of residence after the trip to Turkey. Pay slips for the last 3 months are also required.
• If you are a business owner, you need to submit your company’s certificate of establishment and registration, the company’s trade license, and the company bank account statement showing transactions for the last 3 months.
• If your spouse provides for you, you should submit the same applicable documents as listed above, for your spouse.

Required Documents for applicants under the age of 18 years old

• Birth certificate .
• Consent letter issued by the parent that is not accompanying the child if, only one parent is traveling with the minor visa applicant.
• Documents on custody rights , if the parents are divorced or a third person is the legal guardian of the applicant.
• Death certificate , if one or both parents have passed away.

Step 4: Visit the Visa centre

Collect all necessary documents for a Turkish visa sticker and submit them at the visa application centre. Note that someone else can also present the documents on behalf of the applicant.

Step 5: Pay the Visa fees

Turkey tourist visa fees (INR 6814) will be charged online during appointment booking. The remaining amount (e.g., for a 3-month Türkiye visa, 10,521 INR) is payable in cash at the visa application centre.

Step 6: Track your Turkey Visa  application

Check the status of your Turkey Sticker Visa application on the Gateway International website . Enter your tracking number and date of birth for the latest updates on your application.

• False Information: Providing inaccurate or false information can result in immediate rejection and potential bans on future applications.
• Lack of Funds: Maintain a minimum balance of INR 1,00,000 in your bank account. Inadequate proof of financial stability and inability to cover the cost of your stay can lead to rejection. Ensure you have accurate and up-to-date financial documents to support your application.
• Criminal Background: Having a criminal record or being involved in illegal activities can result in your visa being rejected on security grounds.
• Weak Ties to Home Country: If authorities believe you lack strong ties to your home country, you might be seen as a potential overstay risk. Highlight connections like family, job, property, or other commitments that ensure your return.
• Lack of Purpose: Failing to clearly explain the purpose of your visit and how it aligns with your itinerary can raise suspicions.
• Employment without Proper Authorization: If your visa category prohibits employment, but the embassy suspects that you intend to work during your stay, you risk losing your visa privileges.

. Revised June, 2024 – Resource, Ministry of Foreigner Affairs Turkey . . 1. HOW TO APPLY FOR TOURIST VISA TO TURKISH EMBASSY TO ENTER TURKEY? . In order to provide better service to visa applicants, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey would like to inform that all visa applications for Turkey within some arrangement countries will be made only through (VAC) visa application centers authorized below: . Visa applicants still need to fill in preliminary application form online at //konsolosluk.gov.tr . Please take a printout and sign. Please do NOT book any date online for Turkish Embassy appointment, and proceed direct to the authorized Visa Application Center (VAC) below with your application supporting documents; . .

. . 2. IF THE LETTER OF INVITATION IS PRESENTED IN THE TOURIST VISA APPLICATION . When the letter of invitation is presented in the tourist visa applications, the letter of the inviting person, T.C identification number, Open ID, guest list, residence address, contact number, duration and purpose of stay, whether or not the applicant is related to the applicant must be present. In addition, the invitee is asked to declare in the invitation letter that the invitee will meet his / her request and his / her request, with the responsibility of the invitee and his / her obligation. The applicant is required to have adequate or regular facilities in Turkey. . . WHAT IS THE LETTER OF INVITATION FOR TOURIST VISA? . What is a letter of invitation for a Visa? . For a person who wants to travel to a country applying for a Visa, the letter in which someone living in the country applying for a visa tells him that he wants to write to the consulate and invite that person to see him is called a visa invitation letter issued by the Turkish Notary Public in Turkey. . For example, if (David) wants to visit his friend (Mehmet) in Turkey, it is a letter that (Mehmet) wrote to the Turkish Embassy / Consulate in the manner that I would like (David) to visit me. There are topics that need to be clarified. We explained below what happened to them, how the letter should be written. . If your passport is fresh, if you have no travel history, if you have been visa denied before , an visa invitation letter is supplied by a Turkish citizen (an acquaintance or relative) by oath to undertake you at all expense, for you to receive a short stay 1- 90 day visit Tourist Visa. It will strengthen your application and will reduce the amount of documents required by applicant to save you time and frustration before your travel to Turkey. The invitation letter must be written in Turkish or in the native language of the country of reference. . Who can write invitation letters? . The inviting person should be a Turkish citizen of Turkey. . How do you write an invitation letter? . The visa invitation letter does not have a standard template, you can organize the content of the letter as you wish, but there is some information that must be included. . An invitation letter must cover all these elements: . 1. Date & Location . At the top, in the corner, the date and the city of the person who wrote the invitation are given information. Make sure that this date is no longer than 1 month from the day you applied for a visa. For example, if your Tourist visa appointment is on July 1, the date on the letter should not be longer than June 1. . 2. Visa invitation letter should be addressed to the Turkish Embassy / Consulate . The inviting person (Mehmet) writes the invitation letter not addressed to the person (David), but to the Turkish Embassy / Consulate to which he / she applies for his / her Tourist visa.

• ✖ False: “Dear David” .
• ✔ Right: “To the Turkish Embassy”, to the Consulate General of Turkey .
• ✔ Correct: “To whom it may concern”

. 3. Details that must be explained in the letter about David the invited person

• Name and surname as it appears on the passport .
• Date of birth .
• Address and phone number .
• What is the relationship between the invitee and invitee? Degree of closeness (kinship, friendship, family friend, lover etc…), such as where, how they meet (former co-worker, 10-year neighbor, etc.) .
• Purpose of the visit. Why is the person visiting you? For example, family reunion, Tourist visit, etc. .
• How long the invited person will stay in that country (these dates must match the dates of the plane tickets. If you have a situation where you have to go and go constantly, you have to explain the reasons. July 01 – July  30, for example,” my friend will visit me for 30 days, the first of which 30 days visa will be offered ” such as. .
• Where the invited person will stay and how the Turkish sponsor will finance their visit.

. 4. Details that must be explained in the letter about the invited person

• Address and phone number in that country.

. 5. File reference number of visa applicant . Adding a File tracking number of the Visa applicant, speeds up the job of Turkish visa officers.. . .

. 3. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR TOURIST VISA APPLICATION WITH INVITATION LETTER? . Visa Application Form duly filled and submitted on online system, printed and signed by the applicant. (CNIC number, father and mother names, complete residential and host (if applicable) addresses are must). . Passport / travel document valid for at least 6 months as from the date of your arrival in Turkey. . Copies of the recent and old passports along the used pages concerning visa entry and exit stamps (If it is relevant and not empty pages!). . Two biometric photos of the applicant with the size of 5×5 cm and white background recent color. ., Travel health insurance certificate covering the minimum of Euros 30.000, the period of stay in Turkey and the repatriation costs as well. ., Polio vaccination certificate from the Government Hospitals or the authorized laboratories (The validity of the vaccination should cover the travel period and the vaccination’s date should not be more than one year old). . Copy of the flight reservation (Reservation only not the ticket). . Original Invitation letter stamped and sealed by the Turkish notary public in Turkey. . . . 4. EXTRA DOCUMENTS FOR TOURIST VISA APPLICATION WITHOUT INVITATION LETTER? . Copy of the hotel reservation (Reservation only). . Employment letter stating the name, position, salary, profession or type of skill (if there is any) from the company (if there is any). . Bank account maintenance certificate and original bank statements of the last three months [the current balance should cover all the expenses (air ticket + accommodation + food and beverages)] which are signed and stamped by the bank officer. . Supporting document on the applicant’s commitment to return (Land registry, business certificate, salary table, bank account statement). . Consent letter of the applicant for verification of documents. . . . Conditional documents: . Consent letter of the parents arranged by the Notary (if the applicant is under 18 years old). . Bonafide letter (If the applicant is a student). . Professional Qualification Certificate from the board of the professional organization / Skill Certificate from the related association (if there is any). . Original family civil registration act (if the family travels together). . E-Visa copy / copies (if the applicant accompanied by any person who has a valid Turkish E-Visa). . . . HOW TO CONVERT TOURIST VISA TO TOURISTIC RESIDENCE PERMIT IN TURKEY? . Touristic Residence Permit is available for 1 or 2 years living in Turkey

• After entered Turkey with the Tourist visa , online application is lodged to the Directorate of General Migration Management offices in Turkey to obtain the Touristic Residence Permit ID Card next.

Get your Turkey tourist visa application get done right (Indian Citizen).

For turkey You can either opt for an E-Visa or a VOA (visa on arrival) if you have U.S visa or schengen visa.

In case you haven't received your E-Visa before arriving in Turkey, you can visit the interactive kiosks placed in Turkish airports.

Now if you don't have either of it then you need a proper sticker visa. (Processing time is Minimum 10 - 15 working days including the day of submission at the consulate. Also you need to request atleast 2+ days than your no: days stay in turkey. eg: if your trip is for 10 days then visa request should be at-least for 12 days)

I applied from Kochi and which is coming under Consulate General of Turkey, Mumbai, Maharashtra. I applied through VFS because when I enquired I got to know in India they accept the visa application through 3rd party and it is VFS. Anyway for me VFS Kochi was the easiest option. (Even if you try to apply through some agency you have to go there for submitting the documents.). Total cost was for visa application for single entry visa 15 days - 4270/-INR + 4201 /- INR (VFS fees) = 8471/-INR. You can see the complete details here

List of documents I submitted.

1. Original Passport (Passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in Turkey and should have at least 2 full blank pages available in it). Also provide 2 photo copies of Passport first and last page.

2.Aadhar Card (Photo copy for submit and I had to show the original to them)

3.Visa Application Form (Available for download on website) it should be filled manually by blue or black ink in block letters with 2 white background photographs having size 2.5inch x 2.5inch.

4.Covering letter from the applicant in type format, mentioning the purpose of stay in details, accompanying person details, duration of stay, occupation and expenses clause and tour itinerary.

5.Hotel Reservation (Required confirmation number and if booked through agents/tour operator then details of applicants name, check-in & check-out dates on letterhead with seal, signature, name & designation with VD number to be mentioned )

6.Confirmed Return Ticket

7.Travel Insurance is mandatory requirement which should fulfill the below requirements.(I got from Bajaj Allianz cost me 977/INR)

Medical Evacuation and repatriation expenses

Personal accidental death

Personal liability

Daily allowance in hospitalization cases

This plan should cover the insured for a minimum of Euro 30000.

Note: The travel insurance dates should end 2 days after the date of departure mentioned in the flight ticket.

8.Salaried Person/Employed:

Original Leave letter from employer on company letter head with authorized person sign and stamp (Leave letter should mention the applicant & person signing the letter Name & designation)

Covering Letter duly signed on A4 size paper (Typed format) explaining the purpose of the trip, duration of stay in Turkey etc.

Last 3 months’ salary slips with original stamp and sign of the company.

Last 3 months’ Salary account statements attested and signed by the bank.

9. Bank balance print out which is showing I have 1,00,000/- INR in my account (if 3 people are going everyone individually has to have 1 lakh in account)
