6) فیصل مسجد 1986ء سے 1993ء تک دنیا کی سب سے بڑی مسجد ہونے کا بھی اعزاز حاصل ہے۔

7) اس مسجد کا نام سعودی عرب کے مرحوم بادشاہ شاہ فیصل بن عبدالعزیز کے نام پر رکھا گیا ہے، جنہوں نے اس منصوبے کی حمایت اور مالی معاونت کی تھی۔

8) قرآنی آیت سے فیصل مسجد کی دیواروں کو سجایا گیا ہے۔

9)  فیصل مسجد کافی خوبصورت ہے۔

10)  فیصل مسجد کو دیکھنے پوری دنیا سے لوگ پاکستان آتے ہیں۔

In the tapestry of human existence, moments of elation and sorrow are woven together, etching indelible imprints on the canvas of memory. Amidst life’s quest for happiness, the pursuit of recreation emerges as a radiant thread, interwoven with a love for history. As the pages of time turn, we embark on a voyage to historical havens, basking in the warmth of their stories. Such was my journey to the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, Pakistan – an exploration that breathed life into the annals of the past, unveiling the grandeur of an era long gone.

 History, as the poet wrote, is a “cyclic poem written by Time upon the memories of man.” To fathom the present, we must seek solace in the embrace of the past. Every footstep we take on hallowed ground carries with it the whispers of those who once walked the same paths. In my case, the allure of history beckoned me to the heart of Lahore, to a majestic masterpiece of architecture – the Badshahi Mosque.

The year was 2014, and fate had led me from my British abode to my ancestral homeland. September in Lahore was cooler by local standards, yet for me, newly arrived from England’s temperate climate, the air bore a touch of warmth. After reconnecting with my relatives and acquaintances, the call of history could no longer be ignored. The Badshahi Mosque, a symbol of Mughal opulence, stood ready to regale me with its stories.

 As I stood before the colossal doors of the mosque, a surge of emotions overwhelmed me. The intricacies of Mughal architecture, the intricate carvings that adorned the facade, all seemed to speak of an era when emperors ruled and artisans spun dreams into reality. To truly understand the grandeur of the Mughal Empire, my cousin served as a gracious guide, narrating the chronicles of this monument. Constructed under the reign of Emperor Aurangzeb in 1674, the Badshahi Mosque shares a kinship with the Jama Masjid of Delhi, their facades bearing the same regal air.

My cousin’s words resonated with a sense of pride, for these minarets had set the standard against which even the iconic Minar-e-Pakistan measured itself – a towering tribute to the past. In the sacredness of the mosque’s embrace, I joined the faithful for the Asar prayer, feeling the connection between history and spirituality.

Our journey extended beyond the mosque’s confines, leading us to the revered poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal. As Pearl Buck observed, we are indeed prisoners of history. In paying homage to Iqbal, I found myself acknowledging a shared bond with the past, cherishing the intellectual and cultural heritage he left behind.

پانی کی ہماری زندگی میں اہمیت

ہماری زندگی میں پانی کی بہت زیادہ اہمیت ہے۔ پانی کے بنا کچھ بھی ممکن نہیں ہے۔ پانی کے بغیر انسان زندہ نہیں رہ سکتا۔ انسان٬ جانور٬ درخت وغیرہ ان سبھی کو پانی کی ضرورت ہے۔ پانی اگر غائب ہو جائے تو دنیا میں رہنے والی کوئی بھی مخلوق زندہ نہیں بچے گی۔

یہ بہت ہی پریشانی کی بات ہے کہ انسان نے اپنی روزمرہ کی زندگی کو بہتر سے بہتر بنانے کی وجہ سے دنیا میں پائے جانے والے پانی کو مشکل میں ڈال دیا ہے۔ دنیا میں زمین کے %78 شیئر پر سمندر پایا جاتا ہے۔ اس میں نمکین پانی ہوتا ہے اور یہ پینے کے لائق نہیں ہوتا۔ انسان کے پینے کے لئے میٹھا پانی ہی اچھا ہوتا ہے۔

زمین پر موجود سارے پانی میں سے انسان کے استعمال اور پینے کے لائق پانی کی مقدارصرف %21 شیئر ہی ہے ۔انسانی زندگی کے لئے پانی بہت زیادہ اہمیت ہے۔ انسان کھانے کے بغیر تو 7 دنوں تک زندہ رہ سکتا ہے لیکن پانی کے بغیر وہ 3 دن میں ہی مر جائے گا۔ انسان کو پیاس لگتی ہے اور پیاس بجھانے کے لئے پانی ہی کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے۔

انسان کو صحت اچھی رکھنے کے لئے کم سے کم 2 یا 3 لیٹر پانی روزانہ پینا چاہیے۔ انسان کو جب پیاس لگتی ہے تب جاکر اسے پانی کی اہمیت پتہ چلتی ہے۔ جس طرح زندہ رہنے کے لیے سانس لینا ضروری ہے اور سانس لینے کے لیے ہوا چاہیے، اسی طرح زندہ رہنے کے لئے پانی بھی ضروری ہے۔

انسان کی زندگی پانی سے ہی ہے۔ اس لئے ہمیں پانی کو محفوظ رکھنا چاہیے۔ پانی کم خرچ کرنا چاہیے اور اس کا فضول استعمال نہیں کرنا چاہیے۔آج پوری دنیا میں پانی کا بہت زیادہ نقصان ہو رہا ہے اور اسکی وجہ انسان ہی ہے۔بڑی بڑی فیکٹریوں سے آلودگی اور رسائنک کچرا ندیوں اور جھیلوں میں بہایا جارہا ہے، جس سے ندی کا پانی بالکل گندا ہوا جا رہا ہے۔

انسان کی صحت ٹھیک رکھنے کے لیے انسان کے جسم میں %65 سے %80 تک پانی ہونا ضروری ہے۔ انسان کے خون میں %7 پانی ہوتا ہے۔ انسان کو صحت یاب رہنے کے لیے صاف ستھرے پانی کا استعمال کرنا چاہیے۔ گندے پانی سے انسان کو طرح طرح کی بیماریاں جیسے: پیلیا، گیس، پیچس ، دست وغیرہ ہو سکتی ہیں۔پانی بہت قیمتی ہے اسے برباد نہیں کرنا چاہیے۔

پانی کو بچانے کا طریقہ

• (1) گھر اور شہر میں لگی ہر پرانی ٹنکی کو ٹھیک کرانا چاہیے جس سے پانی ٹپکنے نہ پائے۔
• (2) نہاتے وقت ضرورت کے حساب سے ہی پانی خرچ کرنا چاہیے۔
• (3) برسات کے پانی کو کٹائی کرکے اسے کسی جگہ تالاب یا ٹینک میں اکٹھا کرنا چاہیے۔
• (4) گاڑی٬ موٹر اور گھر کی صفائی میں پانی کم سے کم استعمال کرنا چاہئے۔
• (5) کوڑا کچرا یا کوئی گندا پانی تالاب یا ندی میں نہیں ڈالنا چاہئے۔اس سے ندی کا پانی گندا ہو جائے گا اور پینے لائق نہیں بچے گا اور پانی کے اندر جتنی بھی مخلوق ہیں وہ سب مر جائیں گی۔

اگر پانی ایسے ہی برباد ہوتا رہا تو انسان کے پینے کے لیے بھی نہیں بچے گا۔ اور جب انسان کو پانی نہیں ملے گا تو وہ زندہ بھی نہیں رہ سکتا- اس لئے پانی کی اہمیت کو خود بھی سمجھنا چاہیے اور دوسروں کو بھی سمجھانا چاہئے کہ پانی کی فضول خرچی نہ کریں۔
