Veer Gatha Project 2.0

Introduction, topic & categories, project timeline of conducting activities for schools affiliated to cbse and states, portals for submission, rewards and recognition, guidelines for uploading of selected entries.

To honour the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers / personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully constituted forces and civilians, gallantry awards are announced twice in a year – first on the occasion of the Republic Day and then on the Occasion of the Independence Day. In order to disseminate the details of bravery acts and the life stories of these brave-hearts among the students, it has been proposed by the Ministry of Defence that school students may be motivated to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners.

After the overwhelming response and success of Veer Gatha Edition-1, the Ministry of Defence in coordination with Ministry of Education has now decided to launch Project Veer Gatha 2.0 which is proposed to be culminated with the prize distribution ceremony in January 2023. As per last edition, the project will be open for all the schools in all States and Union Territories.

As part of this project, the students can again frame different projects on gallantry award winners. Interdisciplinary and art-integrated activities like poem, essay, story, painting/drawing, videos would be considered as project activities. The best project will be rewarded nationally by MoD on the forthcoming Republic Day. The submission by the students can be made in any of the 22 Scheduled languages and English.

The Project Veer Gatha 2.0 shall be organized between 13 September 2022 to 31 December 2022.

• CBSE Schools: CBSE-Veer Gatha Project Portal at  www.cbse.gov.in
• Schools other than those affiliated to CBSE States and Union Territories: MyGov Portal.
• Students whose entry is uploaded at the Portal (CBSE/MyGov) will get an E-Certificate of Participation.
• 25 selected entries will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- by the Ministry of Defence.
• Each of the 25 winners will be invited for Republic Day Celebration at Delhi.
• This is applicable for Nodal Officers of Non-CBSE Schools only. Please keep the UDISE code of the school along with all the other details of the school ready before applying.
• Multiple entries in same category from a school are not allowed.
• Click on ‘Submit Now’ link, this will open new page for entering Personal Details of the School.
• After filling Personal Details of the School, click on submit / Next button. This will open the page for making the class-wise submissions of Poem / Paragraph / Essay / painting / Multi-Media Presentation (whichever applicable).
• Entries can be uploaded in JPEG / PDF Formats only. Nodal officers of schools are advised to convert all selected entry files in JPEG / JPEG format prior to uploading on MyGov portal
• In case, no submission is to be made in any of the entries, it is supposed to be left blank.
• At last, click on "Submit" Button to finally submit application.

We all have some aim in life which we want to achieve one day with hard work and dedication. After following the life journey and positive attitude of my role model VikramBatra my aspiration is to become a great soldier and serve our nation. As I always want to do something for my motherland and people, it will be a great role to protect my nation from the enemies. It will fulfil my mind when I will be able to do something for my country and give a fruitful future to its people. I have clearly understood that I will be responsible to stand like a protective wall near the borders of my country. The disciplined and well organised lifestyle of soldiers have inspired me so much that I have adopted in my daily routine. All soldiers are trained through such hardships and difficulties that they become completely responsible to do their duty ideally. I have understood that as a soldier I need to be focused in my duty at any circumstances. As a soldier I need to be concerned about everything around me always which is a sign of wise personality. Captain VikramBatra had always lived a life with complete dignity at all situations which is another reason for my inspiration. At all times, he acted the role of great friend and leader besides fulfilling all the responsibilities of a soldier. He had never thought for second times when it came to fight for his nation. So, in the overall his courageous nature, positive attitude and sacrifice have inspired me a lot to choose the career of soldier by keeping all other options behind. I would like to say that I have always immense honour for all army soldiers in my mind who have chosen the life of soldiers with the aim of protecting the nation and fighting for it. All these reasons are enough to make me feel proud for choosing the armed forces as a great career option.

On the 75 th Republic Day , the President of India approved Gallantry awards to 80 Armed Forces and security forces personnel, 12 of which were awarded posthumously.

• Gallantry Awards have been instituted by the Government of India to honour the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers/personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully constituted Forces and civilians.
• These awards were renamed as Ashoka Chakra, Kirti Chakra and Shaurya Chakra respectively in January, 1967.
• These gallantry awards are announced twice in a year , first on the occasion of the Republic Day and then on the occasion of the Independence Day.
• These awards are given for bravery in the face of the enemy.
• These awards are given for bravery other than in the face of the enemy.
• Order of precedence of these awards is the Param Vir Chakra, the Ashoka Chakra, the Mahavir Chakra, the Kirti Chakra, the Vir Chakra and the Shaurya Chakra.

“विक्रम बत्रा उन सर्वश्रेष्ठ वीरों मे से एक हैं जिन्होंने हमारे देश के लिए अपने प्राण न्यौछावर कर दिए”।

भारत एक महान देश है जहां लोग विभिन्न भाषाएं बोलते हैं लेकिन राष्ट्रीय भाषा हिंदी है। 200 साल पहले भारत ब्रिटिश शासन का गुलाम था।

1947 में भारत स्वतंत्र हुआ। हमने एक कठिन और अहिंसक संघर्ष के बाद ब्रिटिश सत्ता से आजादी हासिल की।

स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों ने ऐसे बलिदान दिए हैं जो की कोई भी अपने प्रियजनों के लिए करने की कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकते। दूसरे शब्दों में, हम कह सकते हैं कि स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों ने हमारे देश को स्वतंत्र बनाया।

वीरता पुरस्कार अधिकारियों, नागरिकों, सशस्त्र बलों, के बहादुरी और बलिदान के कार्यों के प्रति सम्मान दिखाने के लिए दिए जाते हैं।

यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कि हम पुरस्कार विजेताओं के बलिदान और बहादुरी को समझें। भारत सरकार अपने संगठन के साथ विभिन्न सत्रों की मेजबानी करती है।

Meaning Of Gallantry Award | वीरता पुरस्कार का अर्थ:

वीरता पुरस्कार भारत सरकार द्वारा भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों और नागरिकों के बहादुरी और बलिदान के कृत्यों का सम्मान करने के लिए बहादुरी और बलिदान के कार्यों का सम्मान करने के लिए दिए जाते हैं।

स्वतंत्रता के बाद, 26 जनवरी 1950 को भारत सरकार द्वारा वीरता पुरस्कार अर्थात् परम वीर चक्र, महावीर चक्र की स्थापना की गई।

हर साल 26 जुलाई को भारत कारगिल विजय दिवस मनाता है। इस दिन देश कारगिल युद्ध के सभी वीरों का सम्मान करता है।

हर साल इस दिन अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने वाले असंख्य वीरों में से यदि एक नाम सबके मन में आता है तो वह है कैप्टन विक्रम बत्रा का। उन्होंने युद्ध में निडर होकर भारत के लिए लड़ते हुए अपने प्राणों की आहुति दे दी।

और मेरे पसंदीदा वीरता पुरस्कार विजेता कप्तान विक्रम बत्रा हैं। उन्हें परमवीर चक्र से नवाजा गया था, भारत का सर्वोच्च सम्मान, 15 अगस्त 1999 को। भारत की स्वतंत्रता पर भारत की 52वीं वर्षगांठ पर।

इस प्रकार कैप्टन विक्रम बत्रा ने दुश्मन के सामने व्यक्तिगत वीरता और सर्वोच्च कोटि के नेतृत्व का सबसे विशिष्ट प्रदर्शन किया और दुश्मन के सामने सर्वोच्च आदेश दिया और भारतीय सेना की सर्वोच्च परंपरा में सर्वोच्च बलिदान दिया।
